At J & L Sporthorses, we understand that not everyone has the means to purchase or import an elite prospect. We have bred and raised beautiful, safe, people-oriented athletes for ourselves, and we want to do the same for you. We carefully select our mares and stallions with temperament being a high priority along with conformation, athleticism and rideability. We mainly use Warmblood and Saddlebred stock - we have found that the combination of the European Warmblood's proven ability with the Saddlebred's elegance, smooth gaits and tractable temperament makes for a truly unique and wonderful amateur sporthorse.

Miscellaneous updates

June 2010: Sass-N-Flash, aka Sasha Fierce, went to a Dressage show on May 30th and scored 68.33% at Intro (Test C). She went by herself, behaved beautifully and stood tied to the trailer like an old pro after her class. Looking forward to more shows like this, and next time she will go Training Level!

Feb 2010: Belmont was named Reserve Champion CSHA Yearling Colt/Gelding of 2009 in Ontario! This follows his previous award for Champion Weanling Colt/Gelding in 2008. We are very proud to have bred this fine young man!
