About Us

Judith started riding when she was eight years old, and began competing at the age of twelve. She trained and showed under a Level III Dressage coach before marrying and starting a family. Her first horse was a 17hh Thoroughbred gelding by Two Time Bruce. In 1990, she purchased a lovely Saddlebred filly named Will's Hollyhawk. She raised, backed and trained Holly from scratch, and showed her up to 2nd Level before selling her to an event rider. Over the years, fate kept intervening and Judith ended up buying Holly back not once, but twice. The second time she came back, Holly had a home for life. In 2005, Holly produced a big, strapping chestnut colt by the Swedish Warmblood stallion "Braveheart". Sadly it was to be her only foal - Holly was humanely euthanized in 2006 due to a fractured navicular bone.

An avid animal lover, Judith obtained her degree in veterinary technology at St-Lawrence College, and she worked as a vet tech in various clinics between 1993 and 1996.

Holly's colt, Bravehawk, was shown on the line in 2008 and placed first out of 4 entries in his Dressage Suitability class. He is coming 4 in 2009 and will be making his debut in the Dressage ring.

Lianne also began riding at the age of eight, in Harare (Zimbabwe). Her parents being diplomats, they made sure to find her a suitable place to ride no matter where they traveled to. After 3 years riding and showing at the Nepean Equestrian Centre in Ottawa, her family was posted to Brussels, Belgium. There she leased a 13-yr old Belgian Warmblood gelding and competed all across the Brabant region between 1995 and 1997.

She purchased her first horse in 1999, a liver chestnut Saddlebred mare named Rideau Bend Southern Belle. They competed in schooling hunters and Child/Adult Jumpers, qualifying for the Trillium Championships in 2002. In 2003, Belle was bred to the Dutch WB stallion "Pacific Star STV", and the following year she foaled out a lovely bay filly. She was rebred in 2007 to Balta'Czar, a homozygous sabino Oldenburg. The result was a stunning bay colt - "Belmont" (see Foals/Sales page).

Belmont was shown twice on the line last year, garnering many ribbons and awards, including Champion CSHA Colt/Gelding of 2008 (Ontario Chapter). He will be shown as a yearling again in 2009.
